Local Law 88

Local Law 88 mandates upgrades to lighting in common areas of residential buildings exceeding 25,000 square feet and all areas in non-residential buildings of the same size to meet current New York City Energy Conservation Code standards. Additionally, it requires non-residential buildings over 25,000 square feet to install electrical sub-meters for each tenant space exceeding 5,000 square feet, alongside providing monthly energy statements. Compliance is due by January 1st, 2025, with reporting to the DOB expected by May 2025.

CodeGreen’s team at Rizzo Brookbridge has developed a three phase process to streamline compliance with this Local Law. They have delivered successful projects to multiple clients in the New York City area.
